It was January 2013 when almost to my disbelief the most amazing career opportunity was presented to me. I was only 31 years old, recently married, starting a family and trying my best to advance my career at the City of Regina. I was approached and asked to join the Regina Revitalization Initiative's Stadium Project team as a Coordinator of Major Projects. My colleagues saw something in me and trusted that I was the right guy for the job. I was so grateful. For approximately the next 5 years of my life I would be tasked with overseeing and leading the Site Preparation Works for one of the City's and Provinces most iconic buildings. It was too good to be true and I wondered how I ended up in such a position. This project pushed and challenged me more than anything I had ever done before and I am so lucky that it did. In such a short time period I was able to learn, grow and meet many great people from all over the world. I have never worked with such a great cohesive team and maybe I never will ever again. I look forward to visiting the stadium for many years to come with my family and friends and I will always remember all of the hard work that everyone put into every tiny detail. As a husband and father the acknowledgement I received from my wife Jessica and daughters Rachel and Hannah will always be what I am most proud of. I love you girls. Thomas Moore, A.Sc.T. Coordinator, Major Projects RRI Stadium Project
July 1, 2017 is almost upon us - the trifecta celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, the grand opening of the amazing new Mosaic Stadium and the re-opening of the beautifully refurbished Confederation Park. Being part of the Stadium Project Team for the past year and a half and spending the past 10 months working in Suite 352 in Mosaic stadium has been exciting and very rewarding - it is going to be very hard to leave and not see this view every day! My heart swells a little every time I see someone experience the stadium for the first time and you see the look of awe that inevitably turns into a huge smile. I am so very proud and grateful to be part of this project - it was a once in a lifetime experience. My hope is the stadium and park stand the test of time and that our community continues to have many opportunities to use and enjoy the stadium and in Confederation Park over the next 50 years. Cheers to all of you in 2067!
Hello Stacey in 2067! The letter you are reading today was buried in a time capsule in Confederation Park on June 30th, 2017 as the Mosaic Stadium building dedication and to celebrate the grand-opening of the Stadium along with the renewal of Confederation Park. This is of significance to you as you worked with the Stadium Project Team during the construction and grand-opening of the new Mosaic Stadium from 2014-2017 with a wonderfully fantastic team; all the while juggling 3 young kids with support from Mom/Tim of course. This "Major Project" allowed for you to grow and advance your career, meet exceptional people and be a part of the largest "Major Project" in the City. From 2014-2017 you were the Administrative Assistant to the Director, Major Projects and participated in Community Day (2015), 2 Sneak Peeks (2015/2016), Test Events #1 Rams/Husky game (Oct 2017 & Test Event #2 Bryan Adams (May 2017) as well as aligned the RRI Ambassador/Volunteer Team. You were able to tour the whole family through the Stadium in Oct 2016 and JSF Builders installed all bathroom fixtures throughout. From Aug-Nov 2016 you were physically located at the Stadium Office and got a butterfly foot tattoo in Sept 2016. At the time of writing this letter (June 15, 2017) you have 3 kids: Koen, Grade 9, age 14; Kieran, Grade 10, age 16 and Avah, Grade 3, age 8 along with Rukus (2.5), London (10) and Hiccup (2). Shayne and you are in the second (ish) season of opening the campground and moved in together on 23rd Ave (Oct 2016). You are heading to Manitoba with the girls in mid-July to spend time at a cabin with Mom/Tim and then to Stoughton for baby Coopers 1st birthday . The Hansvall-Felske will go on their annual Waterton camping trip in August (hopefully). The kids are playing ball (Koen/Avah), Kieran is looking at re-joining dance again and all kids are doing well at school and life. I truly hope you are able to ready this in 50 years and life has been good to you; full of love, happiness and success.

Dear Future Regina, Are there still Nintendo games from 19something like The Legend of Zelda or something? Are there hover boards like actual hovering off the ground and are cars flying and is there a lot of attack on titan seasons? Are there more kinds of Pokemon cards and lots of new evolutions and types? Is Donald Trump dead or not president no more and is Mr. Flett still alive? When it is 2057 Mr. Flett will be 105. My name is Jaren Lonechild and I am 12 years old but if you get this I will be 62 years old. I like listening to music and dubstep. I like watching anime. I also like playing Nintendo games. I hardly like to play Black Ops 3 I like to skateboard i'll give you a list of tricks I can do: Ollie, a kickflip, a heelflip, a pop shuvit, a 180 and a back side, boardslide, and a 50-50 grind. And I love pomegranates. I love Regina because it's in Saskatchewan.
Dear future people , Are there still mercedes cars, do people live in floating houses now? My name is Ethan Smith I’m from Regina in SK. I’m 11 years old I was born on Nov 27th 2005. I really enjoy playing flag football. My flag football team this year is the San Francisco 49ers. We haven’t won a game this year because our defense lets everybody past them so they complete every pass. Whenever we play another team the other team always makes an interception in the game. Last game I scored 3 touchdowns and 1 conversion. In the football game you could only get three touchdowns so I couldn’t get anymore. Everytime I play a football game with my flag football team I juke everybody . My team called me Turbo as my nickname last year. This year they call me Smitty because my last name is smith. And I want to play tackle football when I’m 12 or 13 years old. I’ve been playing flag football for 5 years. I also started playing rugby this year and it’s fun, in my age category we started tackling, so we get to play tackle rugby it’s really fun but sometimes I get somebody’s butt in my face or something like that. I also really enjoyed reading, this year and my teacher tested me and I’m a level Y and the levels end is at Z and then you join the Z club. I really was interested this year in the Pats because they almost made it to the memorial cup. I don’t have a TV to watch the Pats games on, but every night I would settle down on my bed and turn on my radio and start listening. My mom had to force me to go to bed because I wanted to see who won sometimes I wouldn’t have a good sleep because I was thinking about who was going to win, but my listening to the Pat’s on the radio ended when the Seattle Thunderbirds beat us in overtime to make the series 4-2. Is Donald Trump dead yet? When you open this letter I’ll be 61 in 2067 an old antique. Sincerely Ethan Smith
Dear Future Self, Am I still going to be alive? How will I look in the future? My name is Ariana, I was born on July 21 2005, I’m from Regina, I grew up here and I am currently 11.When i was 10 years old I decided to live with my auntie Nikki on Gordon’s, I only spent 3 months out there because I felt alone and started to miss my mom. I grew up around Albert school and I lived with my mom instead of my dad. I like to travel with my family, I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. When I'm older I would like to travel the world with some of my friends. I go to a school called Ecole Connaught and I’m in grade 6 . My teacher is named Mr.Black he's nice,we do a lot of fun things in our classroom and with other classrooms. We sometimes go to the park with our little buddies and we play.

Are people flying yet, are there any new dinos yet?? My name is Jaelyn, I’m from Regina SK. I’m 11 years old and my birthday is April 26, 2006. I like playing sports, I love animals, and math. I really like how many options of sports you can do in Regina. Are the Rough Riders good or are they still bad? I bet they're a bit better. I’ll be 61 when you dig up this letter, an old graham cracker.

I love lego, writing stories, playing video games and watching youtube videos. Do the riders have a winning team yet? Have the pats won 5 memorial cups yet? They have had to. My best moment from the old stadium is when my dad got me tickets to see the Riders vs the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. It was really rainy. We left at the 3rd quarter and walked half the way home before hailing a cab home. It was a good moment. In school I had a great teacher assistant named Mr.Flett he was awesome.
